  • Reports To: Administrative Director 
    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Temporary, Hourly Employee 
    Estimate Length of Temporary Position: May 2025 – Late November/Early December 2025
    Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8 AM - 5:15 PM; Friday, 8 AM – 1 PM
    Pay Range: $15.00-$17.00 per hour, depending on experience 

    Job Purpose/Nature of Work: Responsible for scheduling appointments; taking messages; answering patient questions about WHC; registering patients; collecting patient fees; documenting patient services and payments; admitting and directing visitors in accordance with WHC security protocols; assisting those who may become emotionally charged in a professional manner; providing medical and front office support services; and all other duties as assigned.   

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

    • Provides computerized patient registration in a timely manner, including accurate documentation and collection of patient fees and demographic and insurance information; instructs patients on completion of forms; determines patient eligibility for programs and appropriate services; monitors waiting room activity; and answers patient inquiries

    • Monitors and controls visitor access according to WHC security protocols; determines the nature of visits and announces visitors to appropriate staff  

    • Collects patient documents after completion; attaches documents to the appropriate patient charts and ensures that they are completed, signed and witnessed 

    • Receives and properly documents messages for WHC personnel and medical providers  

    • Documents patient appointment information  

    • Assists with duties such as billing routines and/or data entry when able and/or as needed  

    • Prepares accurate daily close computer reports, encounter forms and bank deposits, and submits with all associated documentation 

    • Complies with all WHC protocols regarding patient identification and confidentiality  

    • Works with staff, clients, and others in a professional, cooperative manner and in accordance with all WHC policies

    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: 

    • High School Diploma or GED 

    • Good computer and keyboarding skills  

    • Excellent communication skills  

    • Good working knowledge of reproductive health concepts  

    • Excellent chart management skills 

    • Ability to document accurately  

    • Ability to work and adapt quickly in a high-paced atmosphere  

    • Basic bookkeeping skills  

    • Ability to accurately process cash and credit transactions  

    • Ability to file alphabetically and numerically  

    • Dependable  

    • Ability to work Monday – Thursday, 8 AM – 5:15 PM and Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
