Gender Affirming Therapy
Individualized. Patient-centered. No referral needed.
Care will be unique for each patient.
If you’re just starting gender affirming hormone therapy, you’ll begin with an initial visit. This will include a thorough intake, discussion with the provider about your personal goals, and routine lab work (blood draw). If indicated, the provider may recommend a physical exam such as a pap smear, chest exam, and/or pelvic exam.
Your provider has to make sure you’re a medically a good candidate, so you may or may not be prescribed hormones at your first visit depending on your lab results. No letter from a mental health provider is required.
